Description Fernando M. Muniz 2025-03-08 21:43:28 UTC
I'm requesting to be able to set resolutions higher than the monitor allows, in order to achieve supersampling anti-aliasing (SSAA).

That should allow to run old games that supports 4K (but not SSAA) to easily run with SSAA in 1080p monitors.
It should also allow to visualize images more accurately.

For example, my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 would allow 3840x2160p internal resolution (4x anti-aliasing for my 1080p monitor).

It would also allow users to take native 4K screenshots and video recordings while only having access to their 1080p (or worse) monitors.
