SUMMARY I installed Fedora 41 KDE on my PC. After updating the system and rebooting, I installed Brave Browser using their installation steps for Fedora 41+ (See attachment screenshot for their steps). I then went into the brave://flags section and set the "Preferred Ozone platform" to Auto so that I can use Wayland (Which avoids issues with the Window for me). After doing that everything works fine, except for one thing. When I start the Brave Browser Application, it will always open the System Settings Shortcuts Page automatically, even though nothing prompted it to do so. This only happens when I set it to use Wayland, not on the Default setting. It did not happen on Plasma 6.3.1 (currently using 6.3.2). I am not 100% sure if this bug belongs to kwin, sorry if this is the wrong category. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Brave Browser 2. Go into the brave://flags section and set the "Preferred Ozone platform" to Auto so that Brave uses Wayland instead of X11 3. Restart Brave Browser OBSERVED RESULT The Keyboard Shortcut Settings Page opens together with Brave Browser and takes focus EXPECTED RESULT Only Brave Browser should open, no Keyboard Shortcut Settings Page SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 41 KDE KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Kernel Version: 6.13.5-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/PCIe/SSE2 Using the RPMFusion Nvidia Driver

This really feels like a bug in the app to me.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > This really feels like a bug in the app to me. Hey, I was not sure so I just reported the bug here first. I also reported the bug to Brave Browser developers just now, lets see... https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/44505
Got fixed in upstream chromium, not a bug any more https://issues.chromium.org/issues/404298968
