I am unable to repro this. Does it happen with every folder, or with folders that has a lot of files with thumbnails?

That's right. It's a fairly new computer, so I don't have many files in each folder. I only have the preview for images enabled, and I also noticed that the information in the side panel with the storage devices and their capacity takes a few thousandths of a second to be displayed.

Once I disabled the info panel, everything went back to normal. By the way, Dolphin in the terminal does not show any error, only when I close it I get this message:

QThreadStorage: Thread 0x56894e8891d0 exited after QThreadStorage 9 destroyed

Well, I have tried again after restarting the computer and I cannot reproduce the error either. So for now you can close this report

I'm sorry to open this bug again, but it happened again. Something is not working well with the information panel.

Hi - do any system journal messages specifically appear when the slowdown is occurring, perhaps? Possibly not from Dolphin directly, but from underlying components?
