Created attachment 178958 [details] Happened at 2025-02-27 04:56:53 (BRT) After a long blackout, I woke up and saw this notification, I made sure to include the system info in it.
This is similar to Bug 496929 , with the difference being that there's only one low battery notification now, instead of 10% and another for 5%.
I'm not able to reproduce this on git-master. I ran the battery down on my laptop. It notified me at 10%. At 9% the notice changed to 9%. When I plugged it into AC power, the notification was automatically dismissed. Can you please send a screenshot that has both - The low battery notification showing - A Konsole window with the output of upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT1 Thanks!
(In reply to TraceyC from comment #2) > When I plugged it into AC power, the notification was automatically > dismissed. My cable was never unplugged, it had insufficient charging which later came back, just like Bug 496042 I guess I'll have to shut down my house's power to emulate it when I'm alone.
Created attachment 178982 [details] Low battery notification while charging + Konsole battery info. 1- Unplug the AC cable and wait for the low battery notification. 2- Have the 10% notification transform into the 5% notification with the suspend button. 3- Wait for the system to suspend itself. 4- Close the notebook lid. 5- Plug the AC cable and wait enough time to charge 11% or more. 6- Open the notebook's lid, wake it up with the power button, and log back in. (In reply to Fernando M. Muniz from comment #4) > Created attachment 178982 [details] Thanks for the screenshot and the detailed steps to reproduce. Even following those, I'm not able to reproduce the bug on git-master or on 6.3.2. As soon as I plug either laptop in, the 5% battery notification is dismissed. I'll leave this open in case someone else can reproduce or has further insight.
But what was the Konsole command for?
(In reply to Fernando M. Muniz from comment #7) > But what was the Konsole command for? The `upower` command was so we could see that the battery charge was reported as, from the OS.
After a bunch of system updates, can you still reproduce the issue with Plasma 6.3.5 or later?
The issue is not happening in Plasma 6.3.5.
