The first part I'm just hovering over, the second part I held a click over the file under the tooltip. It highlighted the file only after I've stopped holding the click. (2.63 MB, video/x-matroska)

Description Fernando M. Muniz 2025-02-27 19:36:02 UTC
When I was messing around with files with very long text on the Desktop area. I've noticed that the tooltips are tangible when trying to click on anything under the tooltip before it fades out.

Is this a QT issue?

I can't possibly be the first one to ever notice that tooltips are tangible.

Since Bug 495782 was closed by nate@kde.org , maybe you'd know if this a KDE or QT issue?

The tooltips of the panel and dolphin files are also are tangible.

Is this even a problem? It doesn't look like it causes any problems with usage.

Please use bug reports to report problems, not to ask questions for why things that are not problems are the way they are. Such topics can be interesting, but they tend to get in the way of those triaging and fixing bug report. So I would recommend bringing such topics up elsewhere, like https://discuss.kde.org. Thanks!
