Hi, my setup is as follows: I have a large modern LG curved massive 21:9 gaming monitor which is the main display. This is connected via my AMD graphics card using DP. On the same card I am running the HDMI output to an Onkyo AV receiver for the surround sound. So, the Onkyo is detected as a second display which I have setup as a replica of the LG display (even though it has no hope of meeting the same display settings as the LG). This surprisingly works very well until my machine goes into deep sleep mode. When I start the machine again it seems to have the max display format for things like netflix and youtube full screen as the Onkyo display and not the DP LG display. I'm not completely certain if this is KDE screens fault or something underlying this. I run everything via wayland. Any testing I can do to help narrow down, let me know. Cheers, Paul.
Are you using the Wayland session?
Yes this is a wayland session
After some further digging, I have found that turning off replica, this problem disappears. Where I notice the second display is at login (using SDDM) where the smaller screen is overlayed on top of the primary. As SDDM i believe is not using wayland this should disappear over time as SDDM improves. I shall close the bug report and mark as resolved.
