STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install GIMP
2. Download this icon: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xNmZg_hRgFLt2wx8Ot3CgfQXWC4aaFUR/view?usp=sharing
3. Set GIMP's icon to the custom one I made
4. Add GIMP to task manager
5. Add every official app drawer/launcher/menu
6. Observe custom icon working in task manager
7. Observe custom icon not working in app launchers

EXPECTED RESULT
Application launchers should obey custom icons set by user

I investigated this and found that it's an occurrence of Bug 493034.

As a workaround, if you change the  filename to "fimp.png", it will magically start working.
