SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Clean boot or start of kwin 2. Launch dolphin and try to enter an smb:// url OBSERVED RESULT Observe that you have to type the colon ':' twice, as the first colon keystroke is ignored EXPECTED RESULT That you only have to type smb:// , instead of smb::// Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1 KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: (Fully updated kde neon as of 2025-02-24) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Also observed on older versions of plasma 6 on Fedora KDE
Can't repro this, for me it just writes smb:// as expected. Does it happen with other protocols like sftp:// too? Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.5-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 ร AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600
It does happen with sftp:// URLs as well. Admittedly, it appears to be intermittent -- I don't have a reliable way to reproduce this.
