SUMMARY

I've created a layer, and I can't do anything with it. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I created a new layer
2. I set the color to blue
3. I selected the paint-bucket tool
4. I cannot fill the layer
5. I changed the tool to brush
6. I cannot modify the layer

I created a layer, set color to blue, switch to the fill bucket, and filled the layer. Everything seems fine for me. I think we need more information around this. I am on Krita 5.2.6 as well with Windows 11

Can you play around with this more and see if you can get us more details. Are you using a mouse or tablet? Maybe this is a tablet issue?
