SUMMARY
When resized to some size, system monitor's Applications tab becomes flickery and poorly rendered

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

2. Now the Applications tab looks bugged

OBSERVED RESULT
the Applications tab is changing it's size every frame and/or the text is rendered in lower resolution

EXPECTED RESULT
everything renders as intended

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2

Usually when this happens, it's a loop as the geometry updates in response to the scrollbar appearaing and disappearing. But I can't reproduce it on current git master.
Comment 2 Arjen Hiemstra 2025-03-17 17:12:26 UTC
It looks like a binding loop, where if you hit the sizes just right it will continuously update to account for scrollbars - then realise the scrollbars aren't needed and the entire cycle starts again.

Fixing this will need to be done in qqc2-desktop-style however, as system monitor just uses a ScrollView here. So moving this there.

I tried reproducing this for a while recently, and couldn't get it to happen.

Hi - I can't reproduce this on Fedora KDE 42 device running git master Plasma, NVIDIA graphics.

For the report here, could you please let us know what display scaling level you're using, and what type of graphics processor you're using?

Thanks!
