Description Simona Pisano 2025-02-22 22:38:47 UTC
I have a problem with energy saving regarding the monitor turning off after a certain amount of time. when the time expires the monitor turns off. but after about ten seconds I hear the audio beep like a peripheral disconnecting and reconnecting, and the image reappears, without me having touched anything on the desktop, the mouse, the keyboard. the same problem also occurs when starting kde, when it seems that the monitor disconnects and reconnects. the monitor is connected via HDMI.

Thanks. Reminds me of Bug 494905, but the reporter stopped being able to reproduce it.

Oh! Another question: is the monitor connected to a laptop with a closed lid?
Comment 4 Simona Pisano 2025-02-26 21:00:56 UTC
No... my pc is fixed. My monitor is the only monitor connected to pc.
My main board is ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming, cpu is AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, ram is Corsair DDR4 Vengeance 64GB (2x32GB),
