SUMMARY When i trying to snap a window, a bunch of GL_INVALID_OPERATION occurs. The animation is still done, so that's not an emergency, but it's an issue that should be resolved imo to avoid flooding the journal. By "snapping" i mean the little animation which shows us the new size of the window "snapped" to the top left corner when we move the window to the top left corner for example. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Just move the window to the top left corner or wherever that triggers the snapping animation to occur OBSERVED RESULT The animation is done indeed, but a bunch of GL_INVALID_OPERATIONS are emitted in the journal during that time. EXPECTED RESULT The animation is done, and no invalid operations in the logs. Same issue here. On top of that, kde crashes around 1/3 of the time when performing this action. The system completely freezes, in the same manner as described in the bug 491751. Only a hard-reset do anything. The only thing I have in the log in between the crash/freeze and the hard-reset is : kwin_scene_opengl: 0x502: GL_INVALID_OPERATION error generated. System: Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.4-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 6 × Intel® Core™ i5-9600KF CPU @ 3.70GHz Memory: 15.6 Gio of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
Please open a new bug report for the crash/freeze (also specify which one it is; a crash and a freeze are different outcomes).
