Description rrpeak+kdebug 2025-02-21 16:40:10 UTC
SUMMARY
Night light does not work (meaning it does not tint the screen) in the Wayland session after the latest updates on KDE neon user edition.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. set night light to always on and a warm color temperature
2. check it is not suspended in system tray

OBSERVED RESULT
screen remains untinted

EXPECTED RESULT
screen is tinted according to the temperature set in night light settings

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS (Noble Numbat)
[no idea why it says that, also related to updates, it said KDE neon before]
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2
Kernel Version: 6.11.0-17-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I checked the X11 session and night light seems to work normally there

Do you have an ICC profile set on the display?

No, I do not. (I had to remove it when a previous update shifted the colors so that it looked awful)
