Description Robert 2025-02-19 23:16:51 UTC
SUMMARY

I think it would be really helpful to have shortcut that brings up a screen overlay with all the system wide keyboard shortcuts displayed. I have been using Plasma for over a year and still can't remember all the shortcuts.

OBSERVED RESULT

Super+h does nothing at the moment.

EXPECTED RESULT

Screen overlay with all keyboard shortcut binds should appear.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I think hyprland has somthing similar.

Making these more discoverable does seem like a good idea, but we have a *lot* of key bindings and they're highly customizable. Finding a way to present these to the user in a way that is structured to be useful and still responsive to the user's customizations is going to be very hard, I fear.

Ubuntu's Unity used to have something that did this; IIRC it appeared on long-pressing Alt or Meta or something like that. I recall it being quite fancy.
