I'm not able to reproduce this with Dolphin 24.12.2 or built from git-master

- Set Dolphin to Compact mode
- Use Meta+Left (or right) to make it take up half the screen

I also used quick tiling, and tiling to the top / bottom

Can you try creating a new user and seeing if it happens with that user as well? If it does, please let us also know:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: - the full version (like 6.2.5)
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

Thanks

Sorry, I am on Manjaro/Arch, so i have the most recent Plasma (6.25)

I found the conditions to reproduce.

If the window size is saved as half screen, and launched it launches
with no location bar.

Never looked at Dolphin code, but I would guess there is a check to
display the location bar, and somewhere there is some creative logic
causing this.

The location bar never shows when started in the "Quick Tile to
Right/Left" screen mode in KWin.  I use Meta Left/Right to "Quick Tile"
windows to left and right very often.  If the window was last used in
"Quick Tile" fashion it launches with no visible location bar

If I "Maximize Window" then "Quick Tile" to the side I get a normal location
Hope this clears things up!

Thanks for the screenshots, they clearly show the problem
I'm assuming you're using an X11 session, since Wayland is currently unable to save window positions?

Note from the screenshots:
- Dolphin Settings - interface - Status & Location bars - "Make location editable" is enabled
- There is a different icon set than Breeze in use, it's also not Oxygen

I re-tested with git-master and Neon Testing on X11. I was still unable to reproduce, even with making Dolphin half screen exiting it, and re-starting it. It was still half-screen, and showed the location bar.

What's the name of the icon theme you're using? While it may not be likely to be the cause of the issue, I want to test with the same icon set. Thanks.

This is with Breeze Dark.  Same issue. The other theme was Numix Circle.
Yeah i have the "Make location editable" checked.
This is Dolphin version 24.12.2
This is very odd.
One other thought...
This is my toolbar setup, perhaps I have added more things, or moved the
order and that is causing it.

These kinds of bugs are really interesting. I am intrigued to find out
what part of the hugely complex KDE is causing such a random bug!
