describes the audio scaling bug in kde 6.3

I am having some issues with volume control after updating to Plasma 6.3. When the audio volume is decreased to 55% or below, the "audio muted" message is displayed and subsequently the audio is muted. However, audio is being monitored from 55% to 100% and the audio scales accordingly.

The Plasma 6.3 upgrade is going to be a coincidence here. We don't mess with volume levels in Plasma code, so it's a bug in PulseAudio or PipeWire or WirePlumber (whichever one you're using). I'd recommend talking to the Arch folks about it, since they're likely to have encountered reports about the issue as well.
