Description Angad 2025-02-13 23:10:56 UTC
Let's say some media is playing and the application that it is playing from is the ultimate position in the panel, then unpinning another application in the panel will automatically take the ultimate position with the playback controls behaviour too

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. unpin some application while a media is playing
2. hover it on the position of the application where the media was playing

KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0
Qt Version: 6.8.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
kindly see the attachment for full details, and the decreasing audio in the Discover hover does actually decrease the audio

Thanks for the very clear video. However I'm not able to reproduce it when I replicate those panel settings.

I will tell you how to exactly reproduce the issue, there may be something missing in the previous post

1. Make sure there are two applications pinned in the task manager, let's say dolphin and Brave browser (Brave should be at the very right)
2. open both of them while making sure that some media is playing in brave
3. then unpin dolphin while it's opened so that it goes to the very right place and takes the place of the Brave Browser.

Yep, did exactly that and it works fine for me.

Can you try again in a new clean user account and see if it happens there too?
Comment 5 Angad 2025-02-18 21:34:30 UTC
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #4)
Yup I tried a Live Kubuntu ISO, and it didn't happen there, so this could be something related to fedora only
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2025-02-19 21:30:12 UTC
I'm on Fedora KDE 41 myself, so I doubt it's distro-related.

If you create a new panel and put a Task Manager widget on it, can you reproduce the issue there? If not, then it's caused by some combination of settings on your existing Task Manager widget.
