Panel after closing an application

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an application that is not pinned to task manager.
2. Close the application

OBSERVED RESULT
Even after the application icon disappears from task manager upon closing, panel holds a blank space for few seconds, then adjusts size.

EXPECTED RESULT
The panel should immediately update the size with changes in task manager.

Also this behaviour started after updating to Plasma 6.3.
