Description cenon.delrosario 2025-02-13 21:05:56 UTC
SUMMARY

Devices section does not refresh correctly when Mounting and Un-mounting ISO images depending on the file system.

SET UP:
1. Have a sample ISO located on an EXT4 file system
2. Have the same sample ISO located on an NTFS file system

STEPS TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM 1:
1. Start Dolphin
2. Mount ISO located on EXT4
3. Devices section shows mounted ISO
4. Un-mount ISO
5. Devices section shows ISO with a small orange X - The Devices section should have removed the unmounted ISO
6. There is no way to remove the un-mounted ISO from Devices section unless the OS is rebooted

STEPS TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM 2:
1. Start Dolphin
2. Mount ISO located on NTFS
3. Mounted ISO is not shown in Devices section
4. Restart Dolphin
5. Mounted ISO is now shown
6. Click Unmount on the ISO in Devices section
7. The un-mounted ISO still shows in Devices section
8. Restart Dolphin
9. The un-mounted ISO now disappears in Devices section

EXPECTED RESULT

The behavior of mounting and un-mounting of ISOs in the Devices section should be the same regardless of which file system the ISO is located.

When the ISO is un-mounted, the ISO should disappear from the Devices section without needing to reboot the OS.

This bug has been existing in previous versions for me as well and I can confirm, however I didn't know it was FS dependent(just confirmed with ntfs). The iso doesn't show in devices unless I exit and reopen Dolphin.
