Description Jens Lallensack 2025-02-13 20:30:06 UTC
SUMMARY
When reading some pdfs, the scroll bar on the right is restricted to the current page. It is therefore not possible to use it to quickly scroll through the document. Other pdfs work fine, however (I see this bug in maybe 20% of the pdfs I try). This problem appeared a few months ago while everything worked fine before that; it must be a recent regression. I tried to delete all the configuration files, but the bug is still there.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a pdf for which this bug shows (Open Access scientific article as example here: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-025-85497-y.pdf)

OBSERVED RESULT
The pdf is multiple pages long, but the scroll bar only shows one page, and cannot be used to scroll through the pdf.

EXPECTED RESULT
The scroll bar should represent the entire pdf, as in other pdfs.

I've noticed this too. Choosing View Mode > Continuous will fix it for that document. For some reason the "Open in continuous mode" setting seems to be not working.

Excellent, thank you for pointing out this workaround, it makes my workflow so much more pleasant.

Hi - merging this one in with an existing issue report around Continuous View not being applied when opening certain files. Thanks!
