SUMMARY Tool tips don't display the preview anymore, instead is displays the title window. Bad move ! The preview displayed at tool tip is useful to help the user to pick the right instance based only on the preview content. Displaying the title does not add anything , in fact, make things worse and less useful than before. Please, return the previous functionality. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. place the mouse pointer over a icon on taskbar 2. look at the too tip. It is ugly and has no useful info to help to choose between several instances. 3. cry and ask yourself how someone decided this is better than before. OBSERVED RESULT A non-informative tool tip. EXPECTED RESULT A preview of window content. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux Opensuse Tumbleweed KDE 6.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Why ? Just why ?
In task manager settings, do you have "Show small window previews when hovering over tasks" enabled? Do you see Icons, or no graphics at all and only text?
I see text and icon, but not the preview of windows content.

The setting "Show small window previews when hovering over tasks" was enabled but not showing the preview. I disabled it, saved it (ok), go back to it, enabled it again and the window preview started to show up again. So, fixed with a simple toggle on/off/on.
Thank you for reporting back! There are also a small number of other reports having this issue, knowing that this fixed it for you is a good lead. Nevertheless, this should not have happened. I will investigate more, though the issue may be difficult to pin-point as it only seems to apply in rare cases and we have no leads so far why re-toggling might be necessary.
