Description akruppa 2025-02-11 11:43:32 UTC
Every click within the Konsole window is suddenly interpreted as a double click. Single left clicking on the text within a terminal selects a word, like a double-click whould. Clicking on a tab opens the tab properties window. Clicking on a menu bar item starts drawing the outline for that menu for a split second, then removes it again, like a very fast double-click on the menu bar item would. Right-clicking on the terminal contents opens the context window for a split second, then closes it again, like a fast double right-click would.

I woke up the system from suspend to ram today and a while later, noticed the double-click behaviour, but I am not certain that the error appeared instantly after wake-up. The error was not present yesterday before suspend to ram. This is the first time I have noticed this error. Other windows, like Firefox, Kate etc., appear unaffected.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hard to tell. It may have appeared after suspend-to-ram, but it never occurred before, even though I used suspend-to-ram frequently.
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Single clicks become double-clicks in Konsole window

EXPECTED RESULT
Clicks should not be doubled

Closing the Konsole window and re-starting Konsole fixed it.

Hi - just to check, are you able to reproduce that behavior within Konsole with a series of specific steps (ex. by suspending and resuming again)?
Comment 3 akruppa 2025-02-27 10:53:51 UTC
Unfortunately, no. I've suspended and woken up my system many times, but observed the reported behaviour only once.
I usually use the Ryzen 5 5600G integrated graphics, but when the double-clicking behaviour occurred, I had a GTX 750 Ti plugged in for a few days for CUDA testing. I don't know whether that had something to do with the bug.

I'm aware that this makes the bug extremely hard to find. Maybe someone else will report similar behaviour one day and we can look for similarities in the set-up?
