Type out some text that includes obvious spelling mistakes OBSERVED RESULT Flickering as seen on video EXPECTED RESULT No flickering NeoChat: 24.12.2 KDE Flatpak runtime (Wayland) libQuotient: 0.9.2 (built against 0.9.2) KDE Frameworks: 6.10.0 Qt: Using 6.8.2 and built against 6.8.2 Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-lp64 Kernel: Linux 6.12.12-313.current ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A possible fix would be to only do the spell check once the user stops typing for more than 0.5 seconds or 1 second, etc.

Hmm, I don't see this on NeoChat on my system below...do you have a way to try out a version using Frameworks 6.11 by chance?
