Created attachment 178098 [details] Screenshot of the "Web authentication for Google" window with "This app is blocked" message (in Italian). I am unable to add my Google account using System Settings -> Online Accounts in Ubuntu Studio KDE 24.04. As a result, I am unable to access my Google Drive from the Dolphin file manager's "Network" view as intended. The issue always occurs, independent of the Google authentication method I select. I double-checked that I am providing an active and current Google account by logging into the same account in Google Chrome and from the Google Drive iOS app. SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Ubuntu Studio 24.04 I open System Settings -> Online Accounts. 2. I click on the "Add new account" button. 3. I select Google from the list: a "Web authentication for Google" dialogue window is displayed. 4. I enter my valid Google account and I click on the Next button. 5. On the next window, I enter the password for the Google account and I click on the Next button. 6. I open the Gmail app on my smartphone and tap on "Yes, it's me" . OBSERVED RESULT The following message appears in the "Web authentication for Google" dialogue window: "This app is blocked This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access." EXPECTED RESULT 1. A list of all the permissions that will be granted is displayed on the "Web authentication for Google" dialogue window, along with "Confirm" and "Deny" buttons. 2. When I click on the "Confirm" button, the kio-gdrive app receives the listed permissions and the specified Google account is aded to System Settings -> Online Accounts. 3. In Dolphin, I see my Google Drive folders in the Network view and I can successfully open, change or delete its contents. Hi - just an extra note here, the code changes mentioned in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=480779#c54 would likely need to be adopted in some way by the Ubuntu Studio / Kubuntu folks downstream for this change to be included in those long-term support versions. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 480779 ***
