Description ABRAR Shariyar Sabit 2025-02-08 17:04:38 UTC
When there is no playback device plugged into PC and Audion backend is set to SDL, Kdenlive stucks at startup. It stucks for 30-40 seconds when a project is opened, a clip is imported, a text file or animation is created, something dragged into timeline etc.

Thank you for reporting.

To reproduce the hang/crash we need some more information.
-	On which Windows version the crash happened (Win10/11)?
-	What type of (PC) hardware do you have which has no audio device? Click in the tray (desktop bottom right) on the loudspeaker icon and
on top right on the arrow: what type of device do you see?
-	In Kdenlive settings -> playback -> What are the settings for: “audio driver” and “audio device”?
