SUMMARY In many cases the profiles detected with edid are bad and make the situation worse and there is no alternative unless you have a device to calibrate the monitor manually. kcm_colord should give you the option of not applying any profiles. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect a monitor with a faulty icc from edid 2. See that colord makes things worse 3.
