Created attachment 178037 [details] smaller hidden folder SUMMARY Some folder icons are smaller than others in version 24.12.2. In 24.12.1, it is OK. After testing, I found that when the hidden folder has files that can be previewed such as pdfs, the icon of the hidden folder becomes smaller than the other folders. Then, if change the hidden folder to unhidden, the icon display returns to normal. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.1-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Creat a hidden folder named ".xxx" 2. Add a pdf file in it 3. Its icon become smaller OBSERVED RESULT Its icon is smaller then others. EXPECTED RESULT Icon display becomes normal.
Confirmed with 24.12.2 Flatpak
Created attachment 178047 [details] even smaller folder previews This also happens to symlinks, e.g. `/bin`, `/lib`, `/lib64`, and `/sbin` when viewing root. Also your "small" folders seem to be big in comparison. I have the same problem, but with much smaller "small" folders.
I forgot to add that file previews are affected as well.
Created attachment 178102 [details] even smaller folders The previews have become even smaller!
Can confirm this behavior, and add *another trigger*, besides hidden folders: The same effect happens if a folder which contains previewable files is synced via nextcloud, and thus gets an overlayed sync-status symbol (e.g., a green checkmark). Attaching a screenshot...
Created attachment 178115 [details] Same effect, apparently triggered by overlaid sync-status symbol.
... same for a symbolic link to a folder containing previewable files: The symbolic link gets an overlaid chain symbol to indicate it's a link, and its icon is smaller than the others. No nextcloud sync needed for this trigger.
I can confirm the issue is still present on Plasma 6.3 !!! https://i.imgur.com/o2ggmTK.png
