Thanks for the bug report. I do see in the screenshot that Dolphin, in icons view, shows your dot files with a smaller icon. I'm not able to replicate this in Dolphin built from git-master or in Plasma 6.2.5. I'll leave this open in case someone else can reproduce it or another contributor with more Dolphin experience can add more insight.

I'm not sure what happened. I don't even use themes other than the default ones. I don't use anything theme related that is 3rd party
Does this happen with the Breeze icon set? I also can't reproduce the issue.
(In reply to Justin Zobel from comment #3) > Does this happen with the Breeze icon set? I also can't reproduce the issue. It happens on all icons. I normally don't use anything but the default Breeze theme, but installed a 3rd party theme to test it, and it did the same. Is there a way to "clear cache" on plasma? Reset it factory settings? I'd do that since I don't really have a bunch of customizations anyway.
I'm having the same problem. But not every hidden icon. Some are small, some are large. Very strange.
Created attachment 178104 [details] Screenshot of mixed sized icons in Dolphin. You can see the issue here.
(In reply to Matthew Moore from comment #6) > Created attachment 178104 [details] > Screenshot of mixed sized icons in Dolphin. > > You can see the issue here. Dang, yours is even stranger. lol. Glad it is not on my end. I was honestly thinking of a reinstall. No more.
Bug 499644 just got brought to my attention. I wonder if this is related? The other report will be fixed with frameworks 6.11, due Feb 14 Can people please re-test when your systems update to frameworks 6.11? Thanks!
Looks to be the case for any hidden folders/files that have previews accompanying them.

In Bug 500078 this is also affecting folder icons in Details view. It is also linked to having previews enabled.

Created attachment 178668 [details] icon size mismatch
Comment on attachment 178668 [details] icon size mismatch This also happens to me, but in my case not only hidden files and folders. This started happening when my OS updated to Plasma6.3.0. Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.12.15-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
Plasma 6.3.1 just hit Fedora. Issue is still there. I did notice that when increasing the size of icons after a certain point it makes them all uniform again. In my case 48 pixels and below have the problem of inconsistent size when viewed in details mode, anything larger and they are fine. Each view mode seems to be different, but increasing icon size beyond a certain point makes them all look the same dimensions. Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.12.15-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
Also happens to me. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.3-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7600K CPU @ 3.80GHz Memory: 23.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Pro 580X Manufacturer: Apple Inc. Product Name: iMac18,3 System Version: 1.0
Marking as confirmed since this is affecting multiple people
Created attachment 178999 [details] Screenshot of mixed icon sizes in Dolphin I also have the issue, except only with hidden files that have a thumbnail. Empty hidden folders are fine, but hidden folders with files inside that have thumbnails, or hidden files with thumbnails such as .gitconfig or .zshrc are smaller than they should be
KDE Plasma 6.3.3 and KDE Frameworks 6.12.0 just hit my Fedora box and the issue seems to be fixed as far as I can tell. Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.6-200.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
Fixed for me too Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.6-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Product Name: MS-7A38 System Version: 8.0
Seems fixed for me as well. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.13.7-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
Thanks for your replies. It's great to hear the issue is resolved for a few folks. Kalzi, are you still seeing this problem?

I say I did because my whole system broke completely after an update and I just moved to another distro with a different DE unfortunately :/

Good luck with your new install. I'm going to mark this resolved. If someone is still experiencing this bug with Dolphin 25.07.70 or greater, feel free to reopen this report.
