SUMMARY No brightness control in Brightness and Control Widget. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open widget. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT No brightness control, only Nightlight suspend option available. EXPECTED RESULT A brightness adjustment slider would be present to change brightness levels. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: Arcolinux Kernel: 6.12.10-arch1-1 (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This widget did work, so looks like a regression.
I'm currently observing a similar behavior where after logging into KDE Plasma 6.2.5 the brightness adjustment slider is present and functional but after some time just disappears for no apparent reason. After logging out and logging on it's there again. Also, if the slider has disappeared and under display configuration HDR is enabled, it appears again. By disabling HDR the slider is gone again.
Can you check if the backlight is detected? Open up a terminal and show the output of "ls -l /sys/class/backlight"
