Hi, DigiKam knows perfectly well how to write coordinates in EXIF such in its geocoding function. However, the IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) data is integrated into the image file itself, just like the EXIF data. The advantage is to store additional information on the image, such as captions, keywords, copyrights, and other metadata without requiring the addition of an external XMP file for each photo. The current logic has been to have "synchronize" checkboxes directly on the input tabs rather than a dedicated selection screen. But currently only in "Edit EXIF" and "Edit XMP". For no reason "Edit IPTC" does not have it. However, copying and pasting the IPTC metadata of a photo on one or a batch of easily selected photos is a minimum required of a cataloger... Can you add this synchronization for IPTC that many photographers seem to appreciate. Best Regard, Jean-Paul
