SUMMARY Hi ! Sometimes, when I click on icons in my folder view displaying the desktop folder, mouse clicks are not accepted. I have to go click on the wallpaper then come back to the folder view for my click to be accepted. The annoying thing is that I don't know what triggers this behavior :( STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Don't know the trigger 2. Try to open a file from the folder view using its default application 3. When it doesn't work, click on the background wallpaper of the desktop 4. Try and open the file again OBSERVED RESULT The click is not accepted by the icon(s) / folder view (tried several files and several clicks -- left and right). EXPECTED RESULT The file should open in its application. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.12.11-amd64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i7-7567U CPU @ 3.50GHz Memory: 31.2 Gio of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Iris® Plus Graphics 650 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I don't know if it's related but sometimes a icon seems to be selected although it is not. Moving the mouse over the folder view deselects it (no more blue frame under the icon).
I could trigger the strange behavior by trying to copy the name of a file : F2, select (part-of) the filename, copy it somewhere else, come back to the folder view. Couldn't do it again after that.
Now I can do it that way : - move the mouse over an icon - let the tooltip with the full filename appear - move the mouse over the tooltip - try and move the mouse over the icon again Still not the same behavior as reported initialy however.
Reproduced -- only once -- by deleting a file from the folder view but... not again after that (sorry it may seem that I spam you with tests reports but as I couldn't find the trigger before creating the BR, I'm still trying to figure out how it can come to this, as folder view is one of the best feature of plasma for files / desktop organization compared to other desktop environments).
