SUMMARY On X11, "Extend to left" doesnt work but it works if you click on "Extend to right" then click on "Extend to left" STEPS TO REPRODUCE and OBSERVED RESULT 0. I start the system with the internal screen disabled and the external one enable, then... 1. On "Screen" applet in the systray select "Extend to left" 2. The other screen (the internal one) turns on but is black and the mouse can go only few pixel inside it 3. THen I click on "Extend to right": work 4. Then I click on "Extend to left" and it works EXPECTED RESULT It should work the first time. Like a fool, I have not tried simply double-clicking on "extend left". It also works like this. However, it does not work the first time.

I can confirm this on git-master, X11 The bug doesn't happen on Wayland
Multi-screen is too unpleasant on X11; I don't see this ever being fixed, sorry. The Wayland session is preferred for a decent multi-screen experience nowadays.
X11 session is officially maintained until Plasma 7. Also, it is a KDE specific bug, not because Xorg.
The reality is that Plasma's X support is on life support, and most X11-specific bugs will never be fixed. I'm just being honest with you here rather than stringing you along by pretending that something might happen when it won't. Don't re-open bug reports that developers have closed.
