*** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Please remove this comment after reading and before submitting - thanks! *** SUMMARY When I went to mute the Notification Sounds stream, to get rid of the farting noise of the "System Bell" I could see it was Unmuted, I clicked to Mute it, but it appeared that nothing happened. Unpon closing and re-opening the `systemsettings kcm_pulseaudio` it displayed as Muted. It seems that the Muted/Unmuted icon does not re-read the setting and refresh the icon displayed, when you click on it. Underneath, the setting does appear to change. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. From a terminal: systemsettings kcm_pulseaudio 2. Scroll right hand panel down to : Playback Streams | Notification Sounds 3. Click on the Mute Notification Sounds speaker button under the Bell Icon. 4. The Mute Notification Sounds Icon flashes, but does not change to the red top-left to bottom-right red strike-through Icon 5. Close and re-open: systemsettings kcm_pulseaudio 6. Playback Streams | Notification Sounds now displays as Muted with the red top-left to bottom-right red strike-through Icon 7. The same behaviour of change of setting without visual feedback happens when un-muting it too. OBSERVED RESULT Mute/Unmute Icon does not change to the red top-left to bottom-right red strike-through EXPECTED RESULT Mute/Unmute Icon should toggle between Unmuted Speaker and Red top-left to bottom-right red strike-through of speaker SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.0-29-amd64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: offscreen Processors: 12 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1365U Memory: 31.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thank you for the bug report! Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), and Plasma 5.27.5 is no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE. It's possible that the issue exists only in Debian at this point. Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream. Thanks for understanding! Thanks again!
