SUMMARY It wasn't my preferred location for the colour panel, but at least it didn't take up valuable app window real estate, but now I can only move it to the top or bottom or the sides. It's so big & takes up so much of my app window, it's unacceptable. Ideally, I could locate it to the empty areas of the top (right of Zoom tool) or bottom panels (below Opaque/Transparent tool), but I've never figured out how to do that, so I used to detach it completely from the app window. Not only doesn't it allow that anymore but I can't even close it completely (with the top-right X). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Move Colour panel anywhere it will still allow. 2. Try to move it elsewhere than top, bottom, or either side of app window. 3. Try to resize it or even close it completely. OBSERVED RESULT You're stuck with this giant panel taking waaaaay too much app window space. EXPECTED RESULT Get it out of the way to show what you're actually working on. This is still a problem in v24.12.3, although with this new version at least the tool icons have reappeared in the Tool Box. I just would like to move the Colors toolbar out of the way, preferably by docking it vertically on the lower left side, below the Tool Box toolbar.
Problem still exists in v25.04.0 unfortunately.
