Description contramuffin 2025-01-23 07:40:34 UTC
SUMMARY
Inputting the incorrect password into SDDM while having 2 monitors causes all the button icons to appear in the top left corner of the screen instead of in their normal places. This does not occur when only 1 monitor is present. Appears to be consistent across computers. Haven't tested other SDDM themes. Using Kubuntu 24.10 with the Breeze theme, if that's any help.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect 2 monitors
2. log out
3. Put in incorrect password

OBSERVED RESULT
After the textbox finishes shaking to indicate incorrect password, all button icons will now appear on the top left corner of the screen

EXPECTED RESULT
Button icons should not move from their locations

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 24.10
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2
Kernel Version: 6.11.0-13-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

This is a Qt bug; see Bug 487130. It's fixed in Qt 6.8.1. It looks like Kubuntu is shipping you 6.6.2, which is much much buggier.
