Description John Kizer 2025-01-23 04:35:23 UTC
The controls on the Sound page understandably don't have a "Default" state (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499023#c3), but theoretically they could have a "state they were in when the page was opened" that would enable the "Reset" functionality to be added?

Being able to click a single Reset button to revert back to when the page was first opened would be really handy when someone accidentally rolls their scroll wheel, chooses a different one of potentially numerous speaker profiles in the dropdown, and has to remember which profile had been selected before they opened up System Settings.

This intuitively seems like it would be harder than other KCMs, since the settings here seem possibly more ephemeral than things like wallpaper or keyboard layouts, but.......it's a wishlist? :-)
