I right-click on the PNG file, select "clean metadata", nothing happens. Previously, this action was used to delete metadata. Nothing is happening right now. Hi, where do you see such setting? I have nothing like that in my context menu when I right click a PNG file.
Also, is this a third party plugin?
(In reply to Akseli Lahtinen from comment #2) > Also, is this a third party plugin? As far as I can remember, I haven't installed any third-party plugins. I have Arch Linux installed and in Dolphin settings −> Context Menu I have checked the box next to "clean metadata". It used to clear metadata, but now it doesn't work.
Can you attach a screenshot so we can see what it is? I'm fairly certain this is a 3rd-party plugin.
I attached a video in which I show that there is metadata. Then I delete it and it still remains. I also show the settings and that I don't have any third-party plugins installed for Dolphin. Perhaps this item appears from the mat2 application, but the application itself is running in the terminal. I do not know if the menu item "clean metadata" is related to the mat2 application. This option used to work and delete metadata, but it doesn't work now.

Thanks! Yeah, those are *definitely* 3rd-party menu items, added by some other program you installed, or your distro, or you, in a past life. :) You'll need to figure out where it came from and report the issue to the developer who built it. Good luck!
Perhaps we should consider a way in the settings to show info about a plugin such as if it was installed from the "Get New.." or other, as well as any metadata about author/links/etc if available. Would make it easier for users to determine where they come from, and who to contact about them.
Not a bad idea.
