Created attachment 177588 [details] Screenshot of the Context Menu I'd like to suggest the following: 1) Move "Move to New Folder..." below "Duplicate here", because those actions are related. 2) Remove Open Terminal Here: This option already exists in the context menu if you click into an empty space of the folder and it's folder related rather than file related. 3) Move Encrypt file next to Compress and Share: Encrypt and Compress are somehow related: both create new files, either encrypted or compressed. Also it's not uncommon to share an encrypted or compressed file. 4) Remove Activities entry, if activities are not set up: If this is the location to discover the feature, I think, that's a bad UX. IMO it makes only sense to show this entry, if the user has set up more than one activity in the System Settings first. 5) Assign Tags could probably go closer to Properties: That's because, when you hit F11, it will open the Details panel, where you add/remove tags. The details section appears also as a tab in the properties dialog(!). Thus, these are also somehow related. I think that way the context menu can become a bit more uncluttered.

Of course this requires the icons and actions to be very familiar and clear to the user. On mouse hover a hint would appear to explain the action and the associated shortcut.
Yeah, the context menu is pretty huge at this point. We did a lot of work to de-clutter the Plasma Desktop context menu; maybe we can take some inspiration there.
