Description David 2025-01-18 00:07:17 UTC
SUMMARY
KDE Connect on Debian Bookworm hangs trying to connect but eventually times out reporting no device found. Pairing seems to work, I think.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KDE Connect on Debian Bookworm from Bookworm repository.
2. Install KDE Connect on Pixel 7 phone (Android 15) from F-droid repository.
3. Pair the devices and try to connect.

OBSERVED RESULT
Devices never connect; KDE Connect on desktop eventually times out.

EXPECTED RESULT
The two devices connect and work together.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian Bookworm.
KDE Plasma Version: Don't know; running XFCE. Other KDE Plasma apps run without problems.
KDE Frameworks Version: Don't know; running XFCE. Other KDE Plasma apps run without problems.
Qt Version: QT5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is my second attempt. I try it, it doesn't work, I remove/purge everything and try again a month or so later.
There is no newer version of KDE Connect in F-Droid.
