Description krims0n32 2025-01-16 08:04:06 UTC
SUMMARY

In a multi (3) monitor setup, when the screen is locked and you press any key to start the unlock process, the password prompt is displayed on the wrong monitor.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Lock the screen
2. Start typing password or press shift or some other special key to activate the login prompt

OBSERVED RESULT

Password prompt is displayed on DP-3 instead of DP-1 (which is set as primary monitor).

EXPECTED RESULT

Password prompt should be displayed on monitor that is set as primary.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.2.5
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I'm on Wayland. When I move my mouse cursor (which is on DP-1 in this case), the prompt is being displayed on DP-1 as well, which is as expected. So it seems to only happen when directly typing the password or some other key when the screen is locked.
