Created attachment 177381 [details] configuration File /root/.config/Kdeglobals SUMMARY I have been testing TIXIE "debian" for a week and I realize that I lose the "One Click" when starting Plasma and which switches to "Two Clicks" with the impossibility of switching back to one click. The configuration file. In the configuration file "/root/.config/Kdeglobals" the option is good: [KDE] SingleClick=true. Impossible to reproduce this error with each power on. Forced to reinstall Linux "Trixie Debian 13", and wait for a random poweron to cause the mouse to return to double clicks. OBSERVED RESULT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Unpleasant to use the mouse.
You're saying what that config file, your files and folders are still opening with a double-click in Dolphin, file picker dialogs, and the Plasma desktop? If you change in System Settings back to single-click, does the kdeglobals config file change at all? And then again back to double-click, do you see any changes in the config file?
Created attachment 177404 [details] attachment-1956199-0.html Hello Nate, Thank you for responding so quickly. In the "Kdeglobals" file the line "SingleClick=true" is present in singleClick. It is absent in double-click. [KDE] LookAndFeelPackage=org.kde.breeze.desktop SingleClick=true. The problem affects opening applications. Once it is launched, a simple click works in the application. This affects the desktop exeptd the menu bar at the bottom of the screen and the trash can on the desktop. Can you be very clear about what exactly requires two clicks to open, but you expect it to only require one?
Created attachment 177459 [details] attachment-2186258-0.html Hello Nate, The only thing I want is to do everything with a click (one) like in all old versions of KDE/Plasma: Open with a click an application presented on the desktop by its icon, work in the application menus, edit a file etc.... A Radio button in the mouse configuration menu allowing you to choose one or two clicks to work would be welcome. This weekend I will reinstall Debain 13 (Trixie) on another medium in order to eliminate a hardware problem. I will keep you informed. I know. Can you be specific about which things still require two clicks when you want them to only require one?

Created attachment 178527 [details] attachment-575890-0.html Hello Sir In response to your question, the only thing I want is to open an application by making a single click on its icon on the desktop. On the other hand in applications I want to select or validate a field with a single click. This was the case by default on previous versions of KDE Plasma. Today I have to do 2 clicks on the desktop and some applications.Regards Le 16/01/2025 à 18:45, Nate Graham a écrit : > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=498699 > > --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham<nate@kde.org> --- > Can you be very clear about what exactly requires two clicks to open, but you > expect it to only require one? >
Created attachment 178544 [details] General behaviour.png Sir, I just solved the problem. I switched to X11 instead of WAYLAND and it works correctly. Attached you will find screenshots of the parameter setup. With all my apologies, I thank you very much for your availability and your listening.
