Thank you for reporting. If you don't mind, I updated the bug title.

If it's a 10bit HDR clip (as “berndmj” mentioned) then yes Kdenlive can't handle it proper.

What you can try is Kdenlive master that should have 10bit color deep: https://cdn.kde.org/ci-builds/multimedia/kdenlive/master/windows/

Otherwise follow the steps "egorechek" mentioned on the reddit.
