Created attachment 177334 [details] [Scale] button pressed with [Scale Factor] slider to the right of [Scale] button SUMMARY By default, when the [Scale] button in the toolbar is pressed, it produces a blue screen of uglyness in the viewport. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. VNC Connect to either a Linux system or Windows system running TightVNC server 2. Press the [Scale] button on toolbar 3. OBSERVED RESULT Blinded with blue screen of uglyness EXPECTED RESULT Add [Scaling Factor] slider to toolbar as shown in attachment to easily adjust scaling to properly view the remote host. I DDGed and saw a post from 2022 that shows something similar: https://www.shernet.com/linux/fixing-krdc-vnc-scaling/ SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro Linux 24.2.1 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I think it would be helpful to automatically add the [Scaling Factor] slider to the right of the [Scale] button in the toolbar when the [Scale] button is pressed, and remove [Scaling Factor] slider when [Scale] button is not pressed.
This may also help with bug #454016

Just some added info... In the STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. VNC Connect to either a Linux system or Windows system running TightVNC server Not limited to TightVNC in my testing. I use TightVNC[1] server on my Windows hosts (switching to TightVNC soon) and TigerVNC[2] on my Linux hosts. They both use their default settings, except for the connection password. Most hosts are on a secondary NAT network. I was just updating to notify of host's VNC servers used. I don't know if this matters or not. Extra info never hurts anything. 1: https://www.tightvnc.com/ 2: https://tigervnc.org/
