Description Lehmeier 2025-01-10 19:40:25 UTC
Hello!
I have the problem that I have virtual desktops (because I also have XFCE in parallel) and activities and I want only the activities to be displayed and the workspaces no longer appear in the context menus. There are the items “Desktop” and “Show in activities”. This can quickly cause confusion if you accidentally move something from an activity to a workspace.
It has already happened to me that I moved something and only found it again after I looked on the workspace. That's why I have them in parallel. I would like to hide the workspaces completely and thus also the items in the context menu.

SUMMARY

If there are no virtual desktops, they should not appear in the context menu either. It should be possible to deselect them completely.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Try moving something from an activity to a desktop when there is no desktop - and then bring it back again. :-(

That's how things currently work. The virtual desktop entry only shows if you have more than one virtual desktop - in both KWin's context menus, and the ones from plasmashell.
