SUMMARY This is a feature request to maintain support for a decade-old behavior that allowed one to move a window to occupy the top/left/bottom/right half of a screen. Full stop. Once moved, do not add any new features to window behavior such as 'locking' it to other windows. I've put this under the 'Quick Tiling' component, because one way to view this feature is Quick Tile but without locking. In fact, Quick Tile of 1 window matches the old behavior. Quick Tile only appears to add new behavior when tiling >1 window. Another way is there is currently a feature to "Move window [left,right,up,down]", but moving does not resize. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Quick Tile one window 2. Quick Tile a second window 3. Resize one window with mouse OBSERVED RESULT Second window is now locked to 1st window. EXPECTED RESULT Quick Tile should have an option for locking, and provide the ability to Quick Tile without Lock. Alternatively, this has nothing to do with Quick Tile, and the "Steps to Reproduce" above could be empty, because there is no way to throw a window to the top/left/bottom/right of a monitor, but it seems like this feature should exist, given that it has existed on KDE for a long time, and exists on most other WMs. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 ; KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 ; Qt Version: 5.15.8 ;
