Description Fernando M. Muniz 2025-01-07 03:05:14 UTC
1- Have nothing on the clipboard (reboot and look again to be sure you aren't under the issue already)
2- Copy something. (in my case it was a single YouTube link)
3- Click on the broom to clean the link.
4- Reboot.

Result:
The cleaned off text re-appears.

I've discovered that:
1- Any text work. (I've tested with "broom")
2- The cleaned text survives any cleaning+reboot AS LONG as you don't re-open the clipboard widget after the broom closes it.

That makes me believe that the Clipboard is trying to clean the text AFTER closing the widget.

Are you using a history size of 1, or the "prevent clipboard from being empty" setting?

It's set to 100 itens, couldn't find the second one in portuguese, but if it is disabled by default, then it's disabled.

I was able to copy multiple random words and still have this issue after cleaning them off and rebooting.

I was able to reproduce this on KDE Neon Testing
Note: KDE Connect is not paired to any other devices in that install, so nothing external is writing to the clipboard

There were a few entries in the clipboard.
1. Click the "clear" broom, confirm deleting all entries
2. Reboot without doing anything else
3. Login and check the clipboard

Observed:
There was one entry in the clipboard from the previous entries before clearing.

I am *not* able to reproduce this on git-master, after multiple attempts. This should work correctly on your system when it is updated to Plasma 6.3 (which is not yet released)
