Video Steps showing the issue.

SUMMARY
If you switch pages while editing it will hide the currently active configuration panel. Upon going back to the page the configuration panel does not reopen and can not be reopened when clicking the component. A different component must be edited first or editing mode must be exited first.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Monitor
2. Click on "Add New Page..." on left panel
3. Click "+ Add" on the popup
4. Click on the System Monitor Sensor (Configuration Options for that component should open)
5. Click on any other page on the left panel
6. Click back on the "New Page" that you created (Note that the configuration panel is closed)
7. Click on the System Monitor Sensor (Configuration Options do not open even though you are in edit mode)

OBSERVED RESULT
Configuration Options do not open even when you click on the component.

EXPECTED RESULT
Configuration Options either remember they were open when returning to the page or it is possible to reopen them without leaving edit.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

Confirmed on git master.
Comment 2 Arjen Hiemstra 2025-03-18 09:51:07 UTC
The page closing is intentional, the fact that you can't easily re-open the settings is not, but that's being tracked in 500087. Marking this as a duplicate of that.
