Created attachment 177035 [details] Backtrace Haruna segfaults every time I try to launch it. KDE crash report tool does not appear, attached backtrace obtained using gdb. SYSTEM: KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Kernel Version: 6.12.7-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: AMD CEDAR
Try the flatpak version. Also the latest version ``` flatpak uninstall org.kde.haruna flatpak install --user --or-update https://cdn.kde.org/flatpak/kde-runtime-nightly/org.kde.Platform.flatpakref flatpak install --user --or-update https://cdn.kde.org/flatpak/haruna-nightly/org.kde.haruna.flatpakref ```.
I uninstalled the Arch package and installed the flatpak following the instructions above. Also rebooted. Haruna still segfaults every time.
can confirm haruna crashes for me too (flatpak). a current workaround is to force xwayland.
I tested on EndeavourOS and it runs just fine https://imgur.com/OkHcYHV Could be a driver issues like this one https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458078#c14

I tried on 3 systems and all run fine. AMD 6600 gpu on openSUSE TW Nvidia 630 gpu on endeavourOS Intel 2500K integrated gpu on endeavourOS All on Wayland.

For what it's worth, I cannot reproduce on a Fedora KDE 41 physical device with NVIDIA graphics, or on a KDE Neon VM.
Hello. After digging a little deep i noticed that celluloid, another gtk mpv client, also faces a similar issue. I found this in mesa (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/9922) and a more recent github issue on it as well (https://github.com/celluloid-player/celluloid/issues/901). The latter issue mentions that mesa 23.3 fixes it. Both these issues point to the same as what i have faced. So it is possible that this might not just be a Haruna only issue but mpv itself. However, after installing mpv through flatpak on wayland, i did not encounter this. Is this an issue with the GNOME and KDE runtimes then?
