SUMMARY When using "Add as a new title" for a Timeline Title clip, the newly created title should replace the one being edited. See: https://www.reddit.com/r/kdenlive/comments/1hqiqxe/how_do_i_split_the_title_clips_as_new_clips_after/ STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a Title clip in the Project Bin 2. Add the Title Clip in the Timeline 3. Split the Title Clip 4. Double-click to edit the second Title Clip fragment 5. Modify the text 6. Select "Add as new Title" OBSERVED RESULT The new Title clip is added to the Project Bin, but not the Timeline. EXPECTED RESULT The new Title clip should be added to the Project Bin, *and* replace the existing Timeline Title clip that was edited. I second this one, it would be useful. 👍

I agree this would be a useful feature and see two options: 1) Doing this automatically when a title clip is edited from the timeline but *not* when edited from the project bin 2) Asking the user whether they want the title clip in the timeline replaced I can imagine use cases where the user may not want the title clip replaced. This could also be set in the Settings as a default action, otherwise the use is being asked.
