Geolocation indication has disappeared.
Mainview had a little globe icon to indicate an item was geolocated.
This is gone in the Linux AppImage 8.5.0.

No, the globe icon has not disappeared in digiKam-8.5.0, it works here without any problems with the AppImage. Is the position shown in the right sidebar when you select an item that is affected?

I would suggest, also because of the bug with the sidecar, please post a debug log from the terminal, with internal logging enabled.

Restarting solved the problem
